Esnart Chipeta is  69 years old, her husband passed away in 1990 and all her children have died from HIV/AIDS. She is alone and have no children to help her, instead she has to take care of her children’s children. Hunger and to find food for herself and the children is  a constant concern.

When asked, she said that she receives no help from the church she belongs too.

She has many health problem one is her breathing problem and another to live with constant stomach pain.

When asked if she can manage to go to the hospital or to the nearest clinic she said that it is impossible for her. Once the clinic that Doors of Hope is building is operating it will provide her with the medical help that she until now is unable to get, and she is very much grateful for this development.

This is typical for most of the old people in the Mackenzie community. Instead of having children that can care for them they have to care for their children's children who are orphaned and they have no money to feed them.

But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?
